Comments:
Mademoiselle Marie's father was apparently killed in each of his previous appearances in the first story of Star Spangled War Stories #84 and Brave and the Bold #52. His appearance in this story either confirms that he survived or that Marie's claim that he is her father is false.
Synopsis:
Jeb Stuart witnesses his commanding officer die at the hands of a Nazi tank. After Jeb and his crew destroy the tank, the dying officer passes orders to Jeb to aid Mademoiselle Marie in her rescue of a captured scientist. Jeb then spots Marie's team gunned down while parachuting into the area. Marie is the only survivor.
Jeb leaves the tank behind and helps Marie penetrate the Nazi camp. They find and rescue the scientist, Marie's father. Jeb and Marie then fight their way back to the tank and make their escape. When their pursuers are destroyed, Jeb thanks the ghost of General Stuart for watching over the Haunted Tank.
