Comments:
This story is continued from the first story of Blackhawk #267 and continues in the first story of Blackhawk #270.
Synopsis:
While their leader is away, the Blackhawks defend a French town renamed La Resistance from the Nazis. They capture many German prisoners, but when the others leave, the new Blackhawk Gaynor murders all of them. When no mention of the prisoners being picked up is made, Stanislaus begins to question Gaynor. Before he can finish, another Nazi attack sends the Blackhawks back into action. This time La Resistance is under attack by Killer Shark, a costumed Nazi leader. He succeeds in capturing the Blackhawks.
Meanwhile, Blackhawk continues his escape from Germany. Helga, a girl he met briefly at an inn, agrees to help hide him. Then, when the Gestapo closes in on his location, Blackhawk stows away on train bound for Spain by hiding inside a coffin. The Nazis learn of Helga's involvement with Blackhawk and turn her over to Frau Bulle, the mistress who trained Domino.
