Synopsis:
Jon Valor and his son search for a group of highwaymen near Ashenden in 17th Century England. They spot a strange windmill which moves counter to the wind. When they enter the nearby inn to investigate, the villagers believe that Jon is the ghost of Ruthven Valor, his ancestor who supposedly haunts the mill. Further investigation proves that the highwaymen are using the mill as a hideout. The ghost story keeps the villagers away. The Black Pirate and his son capture the gang and expose the innkeeper as part of the gang. He has a secret control behind the bar which controls the windmill. Once the real story is revealed, the villagers give up their superstitions, and the Black Pirate departs.
