Comments:
This story is continued in part from the seventh story of Action Comics #13.

Synopsis:
Jeb Standish hires Zatara to find the Fountain of Youth and return with its water. The magician travels to South America and is guided by natives to a lost city. Inside the city he and Tong are attacked. They avoid capture and force a strange being named Geas the Ugly to reveal the path to the fountain. As Tong is gathering water from the fountain, Zatara senses evil within. They then makes their escape. Upon their return to America, Zatara learns that Standish died at the same time Tong was gathering the water, perhaps due to the fountain's curse.
