Synopsis:
An undercover federal agent named Bennett places a call to Washington to report a threat in the Ozarks. Before he can complete the call a super-powered villain named Thunder murders him. Information about the call is sent to Arani Caulder. It concerns Operation Overcast, a project initiated by the Chief. She uses it as proof that he is still alive.

The Doom Patrol takes a plane to the Ozarks to track down their missing leader. Thunder and two additional super-villains, Hellbender and Goldstar, attack the plane. Valentina tries to keep the plane in the air, while the others battle the villains. Eventually Val is unable to prevent the plane's descent and it crashes into a mountain.
