Synopsis:
Tex and Bob enter a bar and soon become engaged in a barfight with some sailors. The authorities arrest them and force them to spend a weekend in jail. When Tex and Bob are released the sailors attack them again and force them aboard their ship to act as crewmen. Tex however refuses to help.

Tex and Bob are then brought to the ship's owner, Lord Raynolds. Tex is able to convince Raynolds that he was shanghaied after Raynolds's ward Deborah recognizes him. Tex then agrees to join Lord Raynolds on a quest to find a legendary island leader. Captain Devoe agrees to treat Tex as a guest, but secretly plots against him.
