Synopsis:
While attending the opera, Carter Hall witnesses the singer fall dead on stage. The doctor lists her cause of death as strangulation. When he returns home a message awaits him warning Hawkman to stay off the case. Ignoring the warning, Hawkman examines the body and learns that a poison dart caused the singer's death.

Meanwhile members of the Golden Mummy Sect have kidnapped Shiera. Hawkman rescues her, while the Golden Mummy races back to Hall's house. He walks into a trap set by one of his own henchmen and is fatally wounded. Hawkman arrives before the man dies and discovers the killer is Dr. Selkirk the medical examiner on the murder. He was the singer's jilted lover and wanted revenge.
