Synopsis:
While moving some of his artifacts Mark Merlin notices that the Myro Medallion is missing. Mark recalls that he inherited the medallion from his uncle, the stage magician known as the Mighty Merlin. Mark's uncle was famous for exposing phony magicians and spiritualists. When he died, Mark suspected murder. The medallion led him to Count Myro of Monte Grande.
Mark visited the Count and learned that the medallion really was magical. While asleep in the Count's castle, Mark and Elsa were transported to a magical place. Mark passed three tests set forth by the magical Council of Three. In the process, he believed the medallion was destroyed.
After the encounter, Mark realized that he was tricked by Myro. He returns and discovers the Council were fakes. Myro admits to killing Mark's uncle, so that he could destroy the medallion. As Myro and his men attempt to escape, they are killed in an explosion. Mark finds the medallion intact, though he witnessed it being destroyed.
Mark finds the medallion again and puts it on display as an artifact of true magic.
