This story features two topper strips entitled "Why Big Brothers Leave Home". These represent Scribbly's comic strip and are based on ideas sent in by fans.

Synopsis:
Scribbly begins a new year at school. He is mobbed by the other students who are impressed with his new comic strip. However, the principal is not impressed and chases the children away. Later, Daphne Dimples, a classmate who works on the school newspaper, visits Scribbly to write an article. Scribbly is so smitten, he doesn't even notice when his little brother spills his ink bottles.
