This story features two topper strips entitled "Why Big Brothers Leave Home". These represent Scribbly's comic strip and are based on ideas sent in by fans. The first strip idea in this issue was submitted by Bill Gaines, who would later become known in comics for his work at EC.

Synopsis:
Scribbly is awakened in the night by what he believes to be a burglar. He witnesses a young man take off his pants, swipe some cigars, and raid the ice box. Ving informs him that the man is his brother Sammy. The next morning Sammy and Scribbly get acquainted. Sammy plays a prank by telling Scribbly that he needs to take a test to earn his cartoonist license. Scribbly then sits in the fountain in the yard as part of the test until Ving comes to get him.
