Synopsis:
Barry Allen attends a play. Backstage after the show he meets actor John Cardine. During their meeting Barry hears a voice which announces his secret identity. However, no one around Barry can hear the voice. Suspicious, Barry follows Cardine as the Flash. The trail leads to a ceramics store which is in the process of being robbed. Flash stops the robbery, then the owner rewards Barry by giving him a strange disk.
The disk casts a spell on the Flash which causes him to be unable to see or hear any evil around him. As a result he is forced to let the crooks go. He then passes several crimes on his way home without seeing them.
The spell was created by Abra Kadabra who once again escaped a 64th century prison and has returned to the 20th century. Kadabra disguised as Cardine discovered Flash's secret identity, then lured him to the robbery. Afterwards disguised as the store owner, Kadabra gave Flash the disk which created the "see-nothing" spell.
When Barry returns home, he is met by three friends from Earth-2, Jay Garrick, Dr. Fate, and Dr. Mid-Nite. Dr. Fate's magic revealed Kadabra's tamperings across the dimensional barrier, so the trio crossed over to Earth-1 to help Barry. Dr. Fate is unable to break the spell, so the four heroes seek out Abra Kadabra. With the Earth-2 heroes operating from hiding, Flash convinces Kadabra that the original spell gave him additional powers. Abra Kadabra then removes the "see-nothing" spell, before he is captured and sent back to the future prison.
