Synopsis:
Just as Superboy is about to begin his career as a super-hero, he is exposed to Red Kryptonite. The Red K causes the Boy of Steel to perform evil deeds. He releases criminals from prison, destroys the Smallville school, and thwarts the military who tries to stop him. Superboy is declared a public menace.

When the effects of the Red K wear off, Superboy loses all memory of his recent activities. He returns to his identity as Clark Kent. Believing his son is still a menace, Jonathan Kent exposes his secret to FBI agents. Superboy apologizes for the trouble and repairs the damage. However, his secret identity and reputation are irrevocably destroyed. Superboy chooses to leave the Earth and start over on a new world.
