Synopsis:
Bizarro laments the fact that he has no money and goes to his Fourtriss uv Bizarro to forget his troubles. He finds his son there aiming the duplicator ray into space. They return home together, and Bizarro is forced to get a job.
He decides to be a private detective, quickly earning his first case. He discovers that a Bizarro baby has been turning coal into diamonds, a crime on Bizarro World.
Next the mayor asks him to find out who fixed up the Palace of Junk. First Bizarro believes the mayor himself is responsible, but he eventually learns it was Bizarro-Kltpzyxm. When his son aimed the duplicator ray into space it hit Mr. Mxyzptlk and created a duplicate. Bizarro tries to make the imp say his name forwards, but the imp will not fall for it. Instead he willingly accepts punishment since the real Mxyzptlk would avoid capture.
