Synopsis:
While Superboy is out of town for a week, Clark uses an excuse that he is staying with his grandparents. When he returns to class after a week, he finds that the other students are all wearing Superboy costumes. He then learns that a Superboy tribute has been planned, and he was intentionally not told.
Clark learns that five clues have been planted around town for a contest. He suspects that he himself is a clue, since he is the only boy in Smallville not to be wearing a Superboy costume. Fearing that someone has discovered his secret identity, Clark finds the other clues and concludes that he is indeed the last one.
Clark is then called to the podium at the tribute ceremony. He fears that his secret identity will be revealed, but instead the mayor explains that he was actually carrying a note of thanks written to Superboy by the town. Clark is also asked to judge the clue contest since he is believed to be Superboy's closest friend.
