Synopsis:
When the ruins of an old fort are found in Smallville, Superboy reconstructs the fort for historical purposes. Colonel Colby, a notorious gang leader, uses the fort to hold off police pursuit. Clark Kent is taken prisoner inside the fort. He attempts to hide inside a cannon which then goes off accidentally.

The crooks believe they have learned Superboy's secret identity. Superboy ends up defeating them, then pretends that the Clark Kent in the cannon was only a dummy. The crooks are fooled, and Clark's secret is safe.
