Synopsis:
When a fire burns down the Kent General Store, Jonathan decides to auction off some family mementos. The movers pick up the wrong box, so some Superboy souvenirs are auctioned off by mistake.

Superboy realizes that one of the items, a necklace, is potentially dangerous and was purchased by a criminal, Silk Simmons. The necklace will explode if exposed to water, so Superboy follows Simmons to keep it from getting wet. Simmons catches on to Superboy's activities and uses the necklace to keep Superboy from stopping a bank robbery. The Boy of Steel stops Simmons anyway. While following Simmons, he had been secretly coating the necklace with metal. Simmons is unable to get the necklace wet and is sent to jail for the bank job.
