Synopsis:
The custodian of a science club is confronted by some strange being bathed in red light. The being commands him to bring the notes from the science club meeting, which contain details of unreleased scientific inventions, back to him. Instead the custodian contacts Carter Hall who investigates as Hawkman.

Hawkman uncovers a scheme by Rangles to use the inventions for criminal purposes. Hawkman tricks the gang using their own devices, a red lense with a painted image on a car’s headlight. The image then appears as an illusionary being. With the gang captured, Hawkman informs the custodian and learns that Rangles is the man’s brother.
