Synopsis:
The Challengers are transported to the 23rd century in an experimental time machine by Dr. Oren Gough. Gough is trying to stop several cosmic creatures which threaten the population. The people plan to use a weapon called the Volti-gun against the creatures, but must evacuate because the gun has side-effects dangerous to humans.
The Challs agree to help defeat the cosmic creatures, but another sceintist, Lenroy, objects. He and his robots try to kill the Challs to protect his secret. Lenroy has perfected the Volti-gun and removed its side effects. He planned to stop the creatures and become a hero to his people. In doing so he would gain power over the population. The Challs expose Lenroy’s plan and stop the creatures using the new Volti-guns. Gough then returns them to their own time.
