Synopsis:
Having arrived on Earth, Dev-Em lures Superboy to his space capsule where he sends the Boy of Steel to the Phantom Zone. With Superboy out of the way, Dev-Em disguises himself as the boy hero and arrives in Smallville. Everyone is fooled by the faux Superboy even the Kents. Dev-Em proceeds to blacken Superboy’s name by damaging property and playing pranks on the citizens of the town.
Having ruined Superboy’s reputation, Dev-Em frees the Boy of Steel from the Phantom Zone, leaving him to deal with a damaged reputation. Dev-Em then leaves with his parents in tow, to live in the future. Superboy explains the situation, but only the Kents believe his story. Chief Parker however makes the town believe Superboy was under the influence of Red Kryptonite. Parker also believed Superboy’s story and used the ruse to convince the town Superboy is not a criminal.
