Comments:
This is the final case for Batman and Robin before Robin leaves for college.

This story continues in part in Batman #217.

Synopsis:
Batman and Robin spot a burglar while on patrol. They fail to stop the thief, but Robin gives the crook a black eye. Batman finds the combination to the safe that was robbed on a discarded soda pop pull tab.

The following day, Bruce and Dick go out of town for the weekend. Bruce brings underprivileged youth Skeet Callum with them. Skeet has a black eye and a criminal background.

At the beach Dick and Skeet meet Deena Winslow, the daughter of wealthy parents. Deena also has a black eye which she claims was caused by a surfing accident. When the Winslow's safe is robbed, Skeet is suspected. However, Batman proves it was Deena who wanted to get back at her parents. She was working with another crook Aristide Naxos who posed as a yachtsman. Batman apprehends the crooks and clears Skeet.

Batman then regrets that his partnership with Robin has come to an end.
