Synopsis:
The Black Racer, a form of death, chases Lightray through the cosmos. The arrival of Metron redirects the Racer to Earth. He witnesses Sugar-Man, an agent of Inter-Gang, murder another man outside the window of paraplegic Willie Walker. The Racer merges with Willie after saving his life.
Meanwhile, Orion and Dave Lincoln track down members of Inter-Gang. Their search leads them to a group led by Badger who is about to use of bomb made on Apokolips. Sugar-Man is also part of this group. While Orion and Lincoln confront the gang, Sugar-Man exits to plant the bomb. The Black Racer follows. With the combined efforts of the Racer and Orion's Mother Box, the bomb explodes in mid-air claiming Sugar-Man as its only victim.
