Synopsis:
Johnny recalls his wartime adventure aboard a ship called the Lovely Lady. The ship was nearly sunk by a German submarine, but they managed to escape in harsh weather.

Four years later, news of a submarine harassing shipping vessels draws Johnny to the coast of Venezuela. He is reunited with a sailor from his crew named Lawford. They discover that the submarine is the same one that attacked during the war.

Johnny and his friend are captured by the German Von Luger and his crew. They are taken to a secret dock where their old ship, the Lovely Lady is moored. The decommissioned ship is now used as a cargo vessel by Von Luger.

Johnny and Lawford escape and take command of the Lovely Lady along with several other escaped prisoners. The submarine pursues them. The ship goes out of control during the chase and rams the submarine. Both vessels go down, but Johnny and his crew escape in a lifeboat. Johnny believes that the Lovely Lady took matters into its own hands in order to sink the submarine.
