Synopsis:
Johnny interviews rocket scientist Professor Kendle who has invented a spaceship capable of reaching the moon. Kendle explains that he had a dream in which an alien forced him to fly the ship to the moon and trapped him there. Kendle was unable to return to Earth, so he set off an atomic bomb, which could be detected from Earth as proof of his trip.

Johnny believes that Kendle is crazy, but the next day the professor and his rocket are gone. Signal messages then reach Earth from the moon signed by Kendle. The world is astonished by a man reaching the moon and an effort is made to raise funds for a rescue. Later, an explosion on the moon's surface is detected, just as Kendle described to Johnny in his dream. The world then mourns Kendle.

Johnny however wonders what happened to the money raises for his rescue. Johnny tracks the money and soon finds Kendle in his lab, alive and well. The messages from the moon were a hoax to get money. After Johnny exposes the scheme, Kendle tries to escape in his rocket. A stray gunshot hits the atomic power source on the ship and it explodes, killing Kendle.
