Synopsis:
Carl Ferris returns from his two year trip around the world. He suggest to his daughter Carol that she marry Hal Jordan because he is Green Lantern. Carol is shocked by this revelation. In the hangar, Hal Jordan worries that his secret identity may have been exposed and relates the story to Pieface.
At an art shop in Paris, Carl Ferris spotted a painting that could be valuable. He agrees to buy it and leaves to obtain payment. When he returns he finds the painting was switched with a copy, so he trys to back out of the deal. The dealer realizing his deception has been exposed kidnaps Carl.
Hal Jordan, who was scheduled to pick up Mr. Ferris, begins searching for the missing man. Hal visits the art dealer, and although nothing obvious is wrong, the dealer lies to Hal about the painting. He leaves his ring behind invisibly to watch the shop and alert him if Carl appears.
Much later, the power ring brings Hal, now dressed as Green Lantern, to Mr. Ferris. The crooks are dragging Carl through the sewers. Green Lantern pursues and is temporarily delayed by a yellow smoke bomb. After dealing with the fog, GL rescues Mr. Ferris and captures the crooks.
Carl buys the painting and discovers an authentic Rembrandt hidden behind the upper painting which he suspected all along. When Jordan prepares to take Carl back to the States, his face has broken out with a rash. A rash which Carl believes was caused by the yellow fog.
After explaining the story to Pieface, Hal’s phone rings, and Carol invites him to dinner. At dinner Hal uses the power ring to secretly give himself another rash like his earlier outbreak. He blames it on the Crepes Suzette which he claims to have had in Paris also. Carol buys his explanation and no longer believes that Hal is GL.
