Synopsis:
Gang boss Baron York is murdered by his own brother the Professor, who installs himself as the new gang leader. The Professor executes a plan to revive Solomon Grundy using a shot of concentrated chlorophyll.

Green Lantern is warned about Grundy's return by a message from the magic lamp. He is too late to stop Grundy's revival, and the monster, now green from the chlorophyll, defeats him.

Grundy kills the Professor and takes the gang for himself. Green Lantern who has pursued Grundy devises a strategy to defeat his foe. He creates a green bubble around Grundy that stops the flow of carbon dioxide. Since Grundy's nature is now more plant-like due to the chlorophyll, without carbon dioxide, he returns to his white petrified form, ending the threat.
