Synopsis:
A man with amnesia jumps into Doiby's cab while being pursued by the Checker Mob. The gangsters chase Doiby, until he summons Green Lantern to help. Before GL can question the man with no memory another mob, the Crime Syndicate tries to abduct him. Green Lantern protects the man and in the process learns the man is Professor Memory.

Professor Memory still can't recall why the two rival gangs want him. GL allows the Crime Syndicate to capture him in order to learn more. He trails the gang to their hide-out where he learns that the Syndicate wants information from the man. The Checker Mob arrives and abducts both Professor Memory and GL.

Still unable to recall anything, Professor Memory is questioned by the Checker Mob. Apparently the man had been working with the mob and was the only one who knew where their loot was hidden. GL breaks free. During the ensuing fight, Professor Memory is struck in the head, causing him to recall everything. The gang and Professor Memory are then sent to prison.
