Synopsis:
Jay Garrick meets Mortimer Appleby, a man with an extraordinary sense of smell. Crooks led by Skunky Jones then break in to Jay's lab to steal a newly invented acid. Jay tricks them by giving them perfume instead, but the crooks also kidnap Appleby.

Jay follows the crooks as the Flash. Skunky tries to use the acid to break into a safe, but since it is only perfume, he fails. Skunky then returns to Jay's lab. Joan Williams is waiting there and accidentally strikes Mortimer. Flash arrives and captures the crooks. Mortimer discovers that Joan's blow has taken away his overactive sense of smell.
