Synopsis:
Joe Vance is hired by a gang of crooks as a lookout. When the police catch the crooks during a robbery, Joe is arrested. He is sent to reform school. After serving his time, Joe is released.

Joe finds it hard to find a job or make friends because of his past. Clark Kent befriends Joe, but the school bully Roger Belding tries to frame the ex-con for theft. Superboy helps Joe, who then displays bravery during a fire. When he rescues another student, Joe is proclaimed a hero.
