The Newsboy Legion goes door-to-door to sell war bonds. When the Presby hermits refuse to answer the door, the boys break in to the house. Jim Harper comes to remove them, when the Presby brothers refuse to help the war effort.
Nazi spies overhear Harper explain to the boys that the Presby's are isolationalists. The spies then try to take over the Presby home to use as a base. The Guardian comes to stop the spies, but he is knocked out. The Newsboys return to the house in time to prevent the spies from shooting the Guardian. He then defeats the spies. Having seen the Nazis in action , the Presby brothers pledge themselves to the war effort.
