Synopsis:
Ray Palmer returns to his lab after dinner with Jean Loring. Inside the lab he encounters a burglar. Ray tries to stop the crook as the Atom. The burglar stumbles and shines his flashlight against a special screen and through the Atom. The odd effect made by the light knocks Atom out and creates a disintegration beam.

The crook captures Atom and builds a gun to contain him. The gun enables the crook to cause the disintegration effect. Atom eventually escapes the gun, but he becomes intangible. Using the radiations of a special crystal, Atom regains his solidity and defeats the crook.
