Comments:
Flash learns about the existance of Gorilla City in this story.
Synopsis:
A strange vehicle launches from Africa then dives into the Atlantic. It then burrows underground until it sufaces in America.
Soon afterwards Central City has been plagued by gorilla sightings. Fred Pearson, a local actor who often plays a gorilla on stage, believes he may be unknowingly responsible. He asks his friend Barry Allen for help.
On the way to help his friend Barry encounters someone who has spotted the gorilla. When he investigates as the Flash, Barry finds the strange vehicle which is now moving at incredible speed. The vehicle escapes so Barry visits Pearson. Pearson informs Barry of his experiences and relates a message that somehow appeared in his mind.
The occupant of the vehicle is Grodd, an intelligent ape from Gorilla City. Grodd is searching for Solovar, another gorilla, who possesses the secret of force of mind. Solovar has been captured by humans and must pretend to be an ordinary gorilla. Grodd finds Solovar and takes the necessary knowledge.
Solovar contacts the Flash for help in defeating the evil Grodd. The two travel to Gorilla City, and Flash is able to capture Grodd before he can execute his plan of world domination. The force of mind ability is shaken from Grodd’s mind by Flash’s speed, and he is imprisoned by Solovar and the gorillas. Flash agrees not to reveal the city to the world.
