As a result of events in this story, the Hulk no longer transforms into Bruce Banner at daybreak. Rick Jones also gains control over the Hulk.
Synopsis:
While the Hulk is held captive in a prison devised by Bruce Banner, Rick Jones is captured by Thunderbolt Ross. General Ross tricks Rick into releasing the Hulk and leading him to a rocket ship. The ship is then launched into space. Ross believes he has rid the Earth of the Hulk.
Rick regrets allowing himself to be tricked and tries to bring the Hulk back to Earth. He is able to use the missile controls to bring the capsule containing the Hulk back to the surface, but in doing so he and Banner are both exposed to radiation. The radiation causes Banner to remain in the form of the Hulk even in daylight. However, Rick is now able to exert verbal control over the Hulk.
Using his new power, Rick takes the Hulk home. However, when he falls asleep, his control fades. The Hulk is loose again. Rick is then forced to bring him back to the underground prison and trap his friend again.
