Synopsis:
Johnny Storm investigates reports of houses sinking into a swamp near his school. The reason for the sinking houses is a mystery, but a local farmer blames swamp demons. Johnny watches the farmer and two strange looking men cause another house to sink. He follows them back to a dimensional portal. The farmer then reveals himself as an alien from the fifth dimension. He extinguishes Johnny's flame and takes him through the portal.

Johnny arrives in the fifth dimension where he meets the warlord Zemu. The warlord plans to conquer Earth. The sinking houses was a plot to keep people away from the dimensional portal from which Zemu would be sending his army. Johnny is rescued by three rebels including the beautiful Valeria. Working with these rebels, the Human Torch starts an uprising which takes down Zemu and halts the invasion plans.
