Though Marie's father appears to die in this story, his later appearance in Brave and the Bold #52 indicates that either he survived or that one of the men is not really Marie's father.

Synopsis:
An American paratrooper lands behind enemy lines on a mission to destroy a bridge. He is surprised, when his contact with the French Resistance turns out to be a girl, Mademoiselle Marie. Marie and the paratrooper fight their way through German attacks until reaching their target. The paratrooper plants the charges, which Marie then detonates, destroying the bridge. Both Marie and the soldier return to a plane, waiting to take them back to London. Marie stays behind to continue the resistance for her native France.
