Synopsis:
Several heroes have traveled into space to the Manhunter homeworld. Firestorm is among them, but he is distracted during their strategy meeting. Somehow he senses a call for help from Harbinger deep within the planet's core. He rushes off to her aid. The other heroes are surprised when he takes off, since he did not tell them what was happening. Only Captain Atom follows.
Beneath the surface of the Orindo Harbinger fights for her life against automated defense systems. Driq comes to her aid, who is then attacked by Firestorm before he learns that the dead Green Lantern is on the same side of the fight.
Firestorm and the others join forces to escape the planet. However, they are caught in a rockfall. Firestorm is briefly knocked unconscious and captured by the Manhunters. They try to convince him to join them once again. This time Firestorm sees through their deceptions, but not before he learns the truth about the merged nature of his own consciousness.
After battling the Manhunters, Firestorm rejoins Captain Atom, Harbinger, and Driq. They make it to the surface just as the planet is exploding around them. As the Manhunter world dies, Firestorm an his friends meet up with the other heroes once again.
