The Doll's House Part 6

This story takes place approximately one week after Sandman #14 and continues in Sandman #16.

Synopsis:
Rose Walker returns to the boarding house in Florida where she has been staying. Jed has been comatose and remains in a nearby hospital. Her mother, Miranda, remains in England caring for Unity Kinkaid, who has suffered a stroke. Rose is offered comfort by her housemates, then she heads off to get some restless sleep.

Everyone in the house falls asleep and is lost in their dreams. Ken dreams of sex and power. Barbie has an elaborate fantasy world in her dream. Chantal dreams in intricate loops that go nowhere. Zelda dreams as a little lost girl. Hal continues his quest for love and identity in his dream. Dream himself observes Rose who is a swirling vortex. She begins breaking down the walls in each dream and soon the dreams of her housemates begin to merge. Dream calls for it to end, but Rose unconsciously continues. Eventually, Dream stops Rose, and the dreamers awaken, disturbed.

At the hospital where Jed lays comatose. Gilbert remains at his side. Matthew has been dispatched to the hospital by Dream. Gilbert converses with Matthew, for he himself is a dream, now human. He learns that Rose is a vortex, and explains to Matthew that Dream must kill her. They return to the Dreaming together.
