The Challengers battle Power Man, a criminal scientist who was granted electrical powers during a cyclotron malfunction. Power Man is able to absorb energy directly from power stations and forces the Challengers to retreat. The battle is caught on film by Tino Manarry who wants to kill the Challengers himself. Tino teams with Power Man to defeat the Challs.
When Tino finally has the Challengers at his mercy, he reveals that he is Red Ryan's brother Martin. He blames them for Red's death. The Challs are able to escape, then deliver proof to Tino that Red sacrificed his life willingly to save others. Tino regrets his attacks on the Challengers and defeats Power Man himself. The team offers membership to Tino, but the kid refuses.
