Synopsis:
Barbara Minerva sets up a meeting with Diana claiming to have the second golden girdle of the Amazons. As the meeting begins, Minerva asks to see Wonder Woman's lasso. While holding it she is forced to tell the truth that she does not possess the girdle. Wonder Woman is devastated by the betrayal and flies away.
Later while resting in the woods outside the Kapatelis home, Wonder Woman is attacked by the Cheetah. She is amazed that the woman's claws can penetrate her skin. Wonder Woman uses the lasso on her foe, but it has no effect. A struggle ensues.
Wonder Woman loses her balance and nearly falls victim to the Cheetah. However, Julia has come to her friend's aid and shoots the attacker with a rifle. The Cheetah is wounded and falls into the nearby water. When Wonder Woman recovers, she can find no trace of her opponent.
Following the battle, Wonder Woman announces that she is returning to Paradise Island, possibly never to return.
