Synopsis:
Seeing that the world and those around him are imperiled by the continued existence of the Sprout, Swamp Thing makes the decision to kill it. Abby stops him and implores him to find another solution. When he explains that his mental capacity is limited, she suggests that he grow a bigger brain.
Swamp Thing does as Abby suggests and expands his consciousness beyond his previous limits. After weeks of letting him grow, Abby cuts off the expanding brain growing from the Swamp Thing's head. What seemed to be a moment to him was actually weeks. During his time thinking, the Swamp Thing did find an alternate solution to the problem with the Sprout. He asks Abby if she would like to have a baby.
