Synopsis:
Ray Palmer and Paul Hoben have become friends. After sparring with each other using fencing swords, they visit the hospital where Ray has been asked to help perform surgery on a coma patient. While he is operating, Strobe enters the room disguised as an orderly. The Atom then defeats him using nothing but words.

Later Ray and Jean Loring attend a party held for Norman Brawler. When a fight breaks out, Ray becomes the Atom. He intends to intervene, but Jean convinces him to stay out of it.
