This story continues in Question #23.
Synopsis:
On the day before the election for Hub City mayor, the Question witnesses the murder of a Japanese businessman. He determines that the man was a Yakuza whistle-blower. The Question locates a group called the Savage Huns who are responsible for the murder and working for Royal Dinsmore, one of the candidates for mayor. He deduces that Dinsmore has rigged the voting machines. When Vic Sage contacts a judge to investigate the machines, the judge alerts Dinsmore, who orders the Huns to kill Sage. The Question survives the attack, causing Dinsmore to order the motorcycle gang to tear up the city.
Meanwhile Myra Connelly holds a press conference where she reveals that her husband, the current mayor, has spent the last year in an alcohol induces stupor. She has been running the city in his place.
