Synopsis:
Minister Kroef performs tests on the unborn child of Tom and Terga Kalmaku to determine what makes the child of a Chosen special. When he finds no abnormalities, Kroef orders her termination and leaves the compound with Tom as his captive.
The New Guardians are in the process of breaking into the compound. Agent Twerlinger has also stayed behind to rescue Terga. He regrets betraying her husband. Twerlinger brings Terga to the New Guardians, but he is killed in the process. Once clear of the compound, Kroef detonates an explosive device which destroys the building with the New Guardians still inside.
