This story is continued in part from Metal Men #39 and continues in Metal Men #41.
Synopsis:
Mr. Conan briefs the Metal Men on the latest news concerning Doc Magnus. Doc was kidnapped from the hospital where he lay comatose and was taken to the country of Karnia. The leader of that country Karnak has revived Doc, but brainwashed him. Together Doc and Karnak are building a robot army to take over the world.
The Metal Men parachute into Karnia and are attacked by robots. Once they defeat them, the Metal Men disguise themselves as the enemy in order to infiltrate Karnak's base. They are soon discovered, but they manage to wreck the lab and destroy all the robots. Karnak dies will trying to fight them.
Tina confronts Doc, but she cannot complete her mission of killing him. Instead Doc fires on her and escapes.
