History:
A meteor, launched by the villainous alien being known as Starro the Conqueror, sped through star-studded space toward the planet Earth, until Earth's mightiest hero, Superman, spied it flashing groundward and rushed to intercept it.

Suddenly, the meteor exploded into six pieces, and the Man of Steel and the fragmented meteor were catapulted through a bizarre dimensional barrier that led to Earth-C, an other-dimensional planet primarily populated by anthropomorphic animals.

The six meteor fragments crash-landed all across the United Species of America, one section landing in the window box carrot patch belonging to Gnu York cartoonist R. Rodney Rabbit. Confronted by Superman, the meek cartoonist nibbled a glowing carrot from his window box, and suddenly found himself possessed of powers and abilities far beyond those of ordinary rabbits.

Donning a colorful costume he had left over from a Halloween party, Rodney became Captain Carrot, and used his newfound super-powers to locate the five animals who had come into contact with the other five meteor sections. Now possessed of super-powers themselves, the six banded together to form a super-team unrivaled on Earth-C – the Zoo Crew!

Powers:
Captain Carrot possesses super-strength, is somewhat invulnerable, and is able to leap such great distances with a single bound that he often appears to be flying.

His principal weakness is the limited amount of time his super-charged carrots enable him to remain in his Captain Carrot form. To avoid the embarrassing (and possibly fatal) consequences of changing back to Rodney Rabbit at the wrong moment, the good Captain carries two extra super-carrots with him at all times.
