History:
The direct descendant of a medieval court jester, rookie policeman Chuck Lane secretly became the costumed vigilante known as the Jester. The Jester would make the criminals he fought into laughing stocks, joking at their expense, sometimes even using tricks straight out of slapstick comedy to defeat them. But despite his lighthearted manner, the Jester was dreaded by criminals, who feared hearing the sound of his high-pitched laugh or the bells of his costume.

The Jester joined the Freedom Fighters to battle the Axis menace on the parallel world called Earth-X in 1942. His present activities and whereabouts, if any, are unrecorded.
