Synopsis:
While waiting for the Zeta-Beam to transport him to Rann, Adam Strange encounters his old foe Jakarta, the dust-devil. Jakarta has escaped his Earth prison and intercepts the Zeta-Beam, enabling him to visit Rann instead of Adam.

When Jakarta is returned to Earth, he defeats Adam again and sends him to Rann, where the dust-devil has duplicated himself. Adam tries several unsuccessful attacks on his foe, but Jakarta destroys each of his weapons. Adam finally tricks Jakarta with some radioactive dust which paralyzes the villain. With his opponent neutralized Adam brings Jakarta back to Earth for imprisonment.
