Synopsis:
Memories of the forgotten multiverse return from the mind of the Psycho Pirate while he himself begins to fade from reality. Ultraman breaks a panel border allowing Animal Man and James Highwater to see that they are characters in a story. Animal Man steps beyond the border in order to deal with the threat of Overman, one of the characters brought to life by Psycho Pirate. Highwater in turn dons Psycho Pirate's Medusa Mask.
After Buddy deals with Overman, he switches off a bomb, and all the characters from the Psycho Pirate's mind vanish. Psycho Pirate himself fades into oblivion. Animal Man wants answers from the two aliens who brought him there, but they too vanish. Highwater is condemned to Arkham Asylum, a catatonic prisoner of the Medusa Mask. Buddy returns home with many questions. He hears an ominous voice which leads him outside and into an altered reality.
