Comments:
Oracle's true identity is hinted at in this story but not formally revealed.
Captain Boomerang's appearance is suspected but was never confirmed. He was likely the pie bomber who targets Vixen and Bronze Tiger in this story.
This story explicitly takes place after Justice League America #27 and before Animal Man #10.
Synopsis:
Rick Flag has fled the country after his involvement in the death of Senator Joe Cray. He infiltrates Jotunheim, the headquarters of the Jihad. Inside he locates an atomic bomb from the latter days of World War II which was hidden by his father. Rustam discovers Flag, but he is unable to stop his opponent before the bomb detonates, killing them both and destroying everyone inside the base.
Back at home Nightshade receives a letter from Flag detailing his plan. She hears about the explosion on the news and realizes that Flag is dead.
