Synopsis:
While recovering from their fight with the Rocket Red Brigade in Russia the New Guardians learn that Earth has been invaded by aliens. Gloss leads the team to China where the Warlords of Okaara have been wiping out entire settlements. Gloss finds her parents, but they ask her not to resist. If she does, the Okaarans will punish the people of China.

The team then finds a group of Chinese resistance fighters. They plan to send a downed shuttle back to the Okaarans full of explosives. Instead the New Guardians use the shuttle to enter the enemy encampment. A battle is fought with Jet sacrificing her own life to stop the Okaaran armada.
