Synopsis:
Tom Kalmaku has a nightmare concerning his missing wife. He decides to approach the New Guardians for help in locating her. However, the New Guardians have gone with Kilowog and Arisia to Russia after a microchip is stolen from Kilowog's lab. The thieves are a group of Japanese investors who sell the technology to Soviet Dr. Zarmakov.

Zarmakov uses the chip to create a new group of Rocket Reds. This model includes a mind-control device in the helmet which bends the wearer to Zarmakov's will. He sends his new creations against the New Guardians where they are defeated. Harbinger then dons one of the suits and returns to Zarmakov's lab to capture the scientist.
